Discovering the Castle of Anne of Brittany, a videoguided tour of the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany
Built by Francis the 2nd, Duke of Brittany and his daughter Anne of Brittany and located at the heart of Nantes' medieval district, this castle houses a ducal palace made out of tufa limestone whose whiteness and refinement contrasts with the roughness of the curtain walls. Five companions: one of Francis the 2nd's soldiers, one of Anne of Brittany's handmaidens, an English prisoner, one of Louis the 14th's muskateers and a narrator will accompany you as you discover the history of this fortified castle. They will draw your attention to architectural details. Moreover, throughout your visit, navigational photos will help you to find your way both inside and outside the castle.
